Kaumarabhritya (Bal Roga) Department:
Ayurveda is the science of life. It is divided into eight branches, out of these, Kaumarbhritya (Balroga) is one of them. Kaumarbhritya is the science about the nourishment of child, Dhatri, vitiation of breast milk and Graharoga along with their treatment. In Kaumarbhritya, there is a separate text for the support of women’s health during pregnancy and postpartum period, understanding the fetal development as well as fetal and mother wellbeing.
DEPARTMENT FEATURES:
- We focus on the prevention of diseases, proper nutrition for children and how to get proper growth and development as per age.
- We focus on pediatric clinical diseases (like neurological diseases, pediatric skin disease, muscular diseases, convulsions etc.) and their treatment as well as Pediatric Panchkarma procedures.
- We have separate pediatric IPD ward for admitting the critical patients and their Panchkarma procedures.
- We have “Bal vatika”, a separate play area for children in our hospital.
- All common pediatric cases are also attended in hospital.
- There is well maintained library in KB department.
- Every month on the Pushyanakshatra, department organizes a Suvarnaprashan camp for children up to the age of 16 years.
- Consultancy for the adolescence children is also available in KB OPD.
